The International Council on Alcohol, Drugs and Traffic Safety (ICADTS) is an independent nonprofit body whose only goal is to reduce mortality and morbidity brought about by the misuse of alcohol and drugs by operators of vehicles in all modes of transportation.

To accomplish this goal, the Council sponsors inter-national and regional conferences to collect, disseminate and share essential information among professional in the fields of law, medicine, public health, economics, law enforcement, public information and education, human factors and public policy.

The Traffic Injury Research Foundation (TIRF) develops and shares the knowledge that saves - preventing injuries and loss of life on the roads, reducing related social, health and insurance costs, and safeguarding productivity.

We are the Canadian source for international research related to the human causes and effects of road crashes, providing objective and scientific information to support the development, implementation and evaluation of road safety programs, effective advocacy and consultation.
